Spiral Cutterhead for King Canada CT-38 15" Planer

Retrofitting the King Canada CT-38 15" Thickness Planer with Sheatak Spiral Cutterhead, equipped with 80 carbide inserts. The advantages of using a Spiral Cutterhead are numerous:

* The cutterhead's design allows for a smoother finish without tear-out. The angled positioning of each knife produces a shear cut, while the staggered arrangement of the knives results in a superior finish compared to a single straight cut. This combined shear and staggered cut eliminates tear-out and creates a glossy surface finish on even the most intricate hardwood patterns.

* The Spiral Cutterhead significantly reduces noise. The staggered arrangement of the knives means that only a few knives are cutting at any given time, minimizing noise levels.

* The life use of the carbide inserts is significantly longer than that of high-speed steel knives. The 15x15x2.5mm inserts are made of sintered tungsten carbide, which is much more durable than high-speed steel. Each insert has four edges, providing more than ten times the life use of high-speed steel.

* The Spiral Cutterhead is easy to change. The knives are precisely ground to a tolerance of +/-0.0004" or +/-0.01mm and are interchangeable. To replace a knife, simply loosen the screw, rotate the knife 90° for a new edge, and tighten the insert in minutes.

* Dust extraction is easier with the Spiral Cutterhead, as it produces thinner and shorter chips.

* Using a Spiral Cutterhead is cost-effective. The smoother finish produced by the cutterhead reduces or eliminates the need for sanding work, and the knives do not require sharpening. As a result, your product will pay for itself in a short period of time.
