Additionally, 5 extra carbide inserts and 5 screws are included as spare parts. Each carbide insert shares an equal workload, promoting longevity. When compared to cutterheads with fewer inserts, this 39-insert design demonstrates a longer lifespan under similar cutting conditions, making it more productive and cost-effective.
The V-shaped helical design facilitates the forward movement of wood boards and enhances the extraction of dust.
Sheartak's spiral cutterheads deliver a superior surface finish compared to straight-edge cutterheads. The round-edged inserts are angled for a shear-cut, resulting in a glassy smooth finish, even on highly figured or soft woods. Each insert boasts four cutting edges and can be rotated up to 3 times to present a fresh, sharp edge. This eliminates the need for frequent sharpening and resetting when an insert becomes dull or nicked. Furthermore, carbide inserts retain their sharpness 50 times longer than HSS blades.
